Answer» There has been an incorrect use of verb in the sentence. The action of ‘believing’ PRECEDED the action of ‘finding the body’. Thus, the verb ‘believe’ should be in the past tense and must be ‘believed’. Thus the error is in the second part. Students might get confused with the use of the PRONOUN ‘who’ and ERRONEOUSLY SAY that the correction has to be by using the pronoun ‘whom’. However, it must be noted that ‘whom’ is used to denote the object of the verb. Here, though, the man is the object of the verb, ‘who’ is being used as the part of a relative clause describing the man. Hence it has been correctly used. |
