Answer» Answer: Canteen Stores Department are a series of retail stores established by the GOVERNMENT which provide essentials/non-essentials commodities and goods to personals of Indian armed forces (both who are active or retired) at a heavily subsidized rate. The goods range from food, stationery, LIQUOR, medicines, household items, cars and bikes. Currently there are 34 CSDs across India. Many recent additions such as SUVs have been ADDED to the Canteen Stores Department list. The minimum eligibility with respect to cars and bikes is BASED on the vehicle’s engine SIZE. |
