Answer» <p>Ans :- Cotton, like rayon and wood pulpfibers, is made ofcellulose.Celluloseis a macromolecule made up of anhydroglucose unit connected by 1, 4 oxygen bridges with the polymer repeating unit being anhydro-beta-cellulose.</p><p>Woolis thetextilefiberobtained fromsheepand other animals, includingcashmereandmohair fromgoats,qiviutfrommuskoxen, fromhideandfur clothingfrombison,angorafromrabbits, and other types of wool fromcamelids;additionally, theHighlandand theMangalicabreeds ofcattleandswine, respectively, possess wooly coats. Wool consists of protein together with a few percent lipids. In this regard it is chemically quite distinct from the more dominant textile,cotton, which is mainly cellulose.</p> | |
