= > X/7=12/21

=> 21X = 12×7 by cross MULTIPLICATION METHOD

=> 21x = 84

=> X = 84/21

=> x = 4

ii. 4:X::8:14

=> 4/x= 8/14

=> 8x = 14×4 by cross multiplication method

=> 8x = 56

=> x = 56/8

=> x = 7

iii. X:3::0.4:0.5

=> x/3 = 0.4/0.5

=> X/3 = 4/5 by multiplying by 10

=> 5x = 12

=> X = 12/5

=> x = 2.4
