Now subtracting the above equation from equation (1) we get-

3x + 4y - 3x - 6y = 30 - 36

or -2y = -6

or y = 3

Putting the VALUE of y in equation (1) , we get

3x + 4*3 = 30

or 3x = 30-12= 18

or x= 6
