4 A balloon, when kept in sun. Bursts after sometime. Why? |
Answer» When we keep the balloon in sun, the gas molecules gain kinetic energy because of the heat generated by the sun rays. Thus, the fast-moving gas molecules exert pressure on the walls of the balloon and it expands. In a certain duration of time, the balloon reaches the limiting volume which it can attain and further expansion leads to bursting of the balloon. |
