4 A balloon, when kept in sun. Bursts after sometime. Why?

Answer»

When we keep the balloon in sun, the gas molecules gain kinetic energy because of the heat generated by the sun rays. Thus, the fast-moving gas molecules exert pressure on the walls of the balloon and it expands. In a certain duration of time, the balloon reaches the limiting volume which it can attain and further expansion leads to bursting of the balloon.
