9.What are the factors upon which the amount of heat produced in a wire depends upon?(i) Material(ii) Length(ii) Thickness(a) i and ii(c) i and ii(b)i, ii and iii(d) ii and ii

Answer»
There are some major factor on which heat produced in current carrying conductor depends upon. Some of the major ones are:

Resistance of the conductor: Heat produced in conductor is product of square of the current and resistance ie (P=I*I*R). So, higher the resistance of the conducting wire, more is the loss in it.

Current in the conductor: Heat produced is proportional to square of the current flowing in the conductor as governed by the equation in (1).

Amount of time current flows: Also, the heat produced is dependent upon the amount of time current flows in the conductor.

actually answer Kya h

actual ans batlana bhi
