Solution :Adding excess `FeCl_(3)` to hot water produces COLLOIDAL solution of hydrated ferric oxide which is a POSITIVELY CHARGED COLLOID. When excess NaCl is ADDED, `Cl^(-)` will coagulate the colloidal sol.
