We are given,

  • Length of the cuboidal vessel = 10 m
  • Breadth of the cuboidal vessel = 8 m
  • Volume of the cuboid vessel = 480 m³

Knowledge REQUIRED,

→ Formula of volume of cuboid :-

  • Volume of cuboid = L × b × h

where,

  • l, b and h are the length, breadth and height of the cuboid RESPECTIVELY.

→ Volume = l × b × h

→ 480 = 10 × 8 × h

→ 480 = 80 × h

→ 480/80 = h

→ 48/8 = h

→ 6 = h

Height of the cuboidal vessel = 6 m

The cuboidal vessel must be of height, 6 m to hold 480 cubic metre of liquid.
