Answer» Assume the flask to have a volume of 1L Since the pressure is kept constant, we have, V1/T1 =V2/T2 V1 = 1L and T1 = 300K, T2 = 500K Therefore V2 = 500/300 =1.66 L i.e. the gas has expanded. Since the volume of the flask can contain only 1L of air the remaining 0.66 L will escape i.e 39.75 % 40% the atmosphere doesn't get heated |
