Solution :(a) A tetrahedral hole is FORMED when a sphere of the second layer is above the void of the first layer.
An OCTAHEDRAL void is formed when the triangular VOIDS in the second layer are above the triangular voids in the first layer and the triangular shapes of these do not overlap.
(B) If N is the number of octahedral HOLES (voids), the number of tetrahedral holes will be 2N.
