LET the no. Of EGGS brought by him =x
He GOT 3eggs at rupees =5
So
he got x eggs at rupees =(5x/3)
He sold 5 eggs at rupees=12
So
He sold x eggs at rupees =(12x/5)
His profit is =143
His profit in TERMS of x=(12x/5)-(5x/3)
Put both the values equal
We get,
11x=2145
So, x=195
Thus the man had bought 195 eggs
