Solution :The MOMENT of inertia about the AXIS is
`I=(1)/(3)m_(1)l^(2)+(1)/(2)m_(2)r^(2)+m_(2)(l+r)^(2)`
The distance between the centre of mass and the axis is
`a=(1//2m_(1)l+m_(2)(l+r))/(m_(1)+m_(2))`
Hence we find the period.
