Answer» ear ! Given :- buying 15 at RS. 21 Selling 20 oranges at Rs. 25 to find:- Gain or LOSS percentageSolution:- first let's find the Cost Price of the Oranges => Cost of 15 oranges = 21Rs. => Cost of 1 orange = 21/15 = 1.4 Rs. Now let's find the Selling price of the Oranges.=> Cost of 20 oranges = 25Rs. => Cost of 1 orange = 25/20 = 1.25 Rs. since, CP>SPso, loss of :- 1.4 - 1.25 = 0.15 Rs we can clearly observe that it is a Loss of 0.15Rs.now we have to find the Loss percentage.. by using the formula :- substituting the values.:- loss % = 0.15/1.4 × 100 = 10.7 Hence, there is a Loss of 10.7% |
