Answer» NaCl or CaCl2 is used to clear snow from the roads because these solids causes a depression in freezing point of the water and hence it is difficult for the water to freeze. ( You might have studied this in the chapter solutions, look for colligative properties) When blood cells are placed in water they burst because they constantly take water in due to endosmosis and since they lack a cell wall these cells burst. |
