1.	Aldol condensation.
Answer» Solution :When aldehydes or ketones containing `prop - H` atoms are warmed with a DILUTE base or dilute acid, TWO molecules of them undergo SELF CONDENSATION to give `beta-` hydroxy aldehyde (aldol) or `beta`- hydroxy ketone (KETOL) respectively.
