1.

An alternating current in a circuit is given by I=20sin(100 pi t+0.05 pi) A. The r.m.s value and the frequency of current respectively are

Answer»

10 A and 100 Hz
10 A and 50 Hz
`10sqrt(2)` and 50 Hz
`10sqrt(2)A` and 100 Hz

SOLUTION :Given, `I=20 sin (100 pi t + 0.05 pi)`
COMPARING with STANDARD EQUATION, we get
`I_(0)=20`and `omega = 100 pi`
`therefore I_(rms)=(I_(0))/(SQRT(2))=(20)/(sqrt(2))=10 sqrt(2)`
Now, `omega = 100pi` or `2pi upsilon = 100 pi`
or `upsilon = 50 Hz`.
