An image of an object is formed by using a convex lens. If the orientation of the lens is reversed, will the position of the image change ? |
|
Answer» Solution :As `(1)/(f)=(mu-1)((1)/(R_(1))-(1)/(R_(2)))` On reversing the ORIENTATION of the lens, `R_(1) and R_(2)` will get interchanged. At the same time signs of `R_(1) and R_(2)` also get interchanged, hence focal length remains UNAFFECTED. POSITION of image is also unaffected. |
