Answer» SOLUTION :Taller. `rArr` Let pure water is filled in a vessel. A fish is there at the bottom as an observer. `rArr` Fish observes the eye of a man by keeping its vision in direction of OQ. As shown in figure, by extending OQ in air it will meet at E. on normal of surface.  `rArr` HENCE, fish observes eye of man at El instead of E. `rArr` Here, EP `= h_0` which is real height of eye from surface and `E.P =h_i` which is apparent height of eye from surface. `rArr` From this we can conclude that if object is in RARER medium and observer is in denser medium, then IMAGE will be appeared to be shifted up `h_1 gt h_0`. |
