Are there any reasons that Scrumban would not work with SAFe? |
|
Answer» SAFe actually is a Scrumban arrangement kind of. In the earlier version of SAFe, Scrum teams worked at the Team level, within the larger iterative Program Increment (PI) cadence. Now, both Scrum and KANBAN teams have been “legitimized” at the Team level, and can coexist within the same program. And while there is still a PI cadence, there are Kanbans now at the Portfolio, Value Stream, and Program levels. The teams mostly use Scrum at the Team level and WORK in scrum fashion with all the ceremonies and FOLLOWING the cadence as set by the ORGANIZATION. SAFe does not have hardcore prescription for any particular AGILE process, at the team level, the teams have the liberty to use either Scrum, Kanban or Scrumban. |
