Burning which type of change? |
Answer» <p>The burning of wax (like a candle) is both a chemical and a physical change.</p><p>The physical change is obvious because the wax literally melts, changing from a solid to a liquid.</p><p>The chemical change is not so obvious, but definitely involved. It happens when the wax vapor reacts with oxygen in the surrounding air to form new substances (i.e. combustion), notably carbon dioxide and water.</p> <p>burning is undesirable change</p> | |
