Answer» Electronics and IT Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad stated that all gram panchayats(GPs) in the country will be connected with the high-speed broadband under BharatNet project by March 2020.Aim: To provide hassle-free high-speed broadband connectivity to 2.5 lakh gram panchayats across India.Present status: Under the project, 128870-gram panchayats have been connected with optical fiber to date.
