Given -

\angle \: p =  \frac{1}{2} \angle \: q

To FIND -

The VALUES of p and q

Solution -

We know that

p+q=180°[Linear PAIR]........ 1)

Now putting the VALUE of p we will get

\frac{1}{2}\angle \:  q + \angle \: q = 180

\frac{1 + 2}{2}\angle q = 180

\frac{3}{2} \angle \: q = 180

3 \: \angle \: q = 180 \times 2

\angle \: q =  \frac{180 \times 2}{3}

\angle \: q = 120

Now putting the value of q in equation 1) we will get -

\angle \: p + \angle \: q = 180

\angle \: p + 120 = 180

\angle \: p = 180 - 120

\angle \: p = 60

\therefore \: The \: value \: of \: \angle \: p \: is \:  {60}^{0}  \: and \:  \\ value \: of \: \angle \: q \: is \:  {120}^{0}
