| Answer» <p>Acell wallis a structural layer surrounding some types ofcells, just outside thecell membrane. It can be tough, flexible, and sometimes rigid. It provides the cell with both structural support and protection, and also acts as a filtering mechanism. Cell walls are present in mostprokaryotes(exceptmycoplasmabacteria), inalgae,plantsandfungibut rarely in othereukaryotesincluding animals. A major function is to act as pressure vessels, preventingover-expansionof the cell when water enters.</p><p>Themitochondrion(pluralmitochondria) is a double-membrane-boundorganellefound in mosteukaryoticorganisms.
