Ci) Out of O2 and N molecules, which has greater bdissociation enthalpy and why?

Answer»

The binding energy for both O2 and N2 is about the same but O2 likely has a slightly higher binding energy. Generally, binding energy increases with the number of nucleons until Iron and then decreases. Nitrogen, because it is being held together by a triple bond, while Oxygen is being held together by a double bond.
