Define complement of a set with example

Answer»

Answer:

COMPLEMENT of a Set. Let's say that we have a set A that is a subset of some UNIVERSAL set U. The complement of A is the set of elements of the universal set that are not elements of A. In our EXAMPLE above, the complement of {-2, -1, 0, 1} is the set CONTAINING all the integers that do not satisfy the inequality.
