Answer» Solution :(a) Anionic detergents: These are so CALLED because a large part of their molecules are anions. these are of two types: (a) Sodium alkyl sulphates: for example, sodium lauryl sulphate `C_(17)H_(23)CH_(2)OSO_(3)Na` (b) Sodium alkyl benzene sulphonates: (b) Limited spectrum antiobiotics: Antibiotics which are are specific for certain desease only. Ex: pencillin. Streptomycin for tuberculosis etc. (c) Antiseptics: They are the chemical SUBSTANCES which prevent the growth of micro-organism and may even kill them. they are safe to be APPLIED to living tissues. For example, Dettol, Savlon, Iodine, Boric aciid etc. |
