Solution :(i) Anionic detergents : Anionic detergents are sodium salts of sulphonated LONG chain alcohols or hydrocarbons. In anionic detergents, the anionic PART of the molecule is involved in cleansing action.
(ii) Broad spectrum antibiotics : Antibiotics which kill or inhibit a wide RANGE of Gram-positive or Gram-negative bacteria are said to be broad spectrum antibiotics. Ampicillin and Amoxycillin are broad spectrum antibiotics.
(iii) Antiseptics Antiseptics are chemicals which either kill or prevent the growth of microorganisms.
Antiseptics are applied to living tissues such as wounds, cuts and ulcers and diseased SKIN surfaces.
