Answer» Solution :(i) ADD Na metal, Ethyl alcohol gives `H_(2)` gas whereas ACETALDEHYDE does not react. (ii) Add `I_(2)` and NaOH, acetophenone `(C_(6)H_(5)COCH_(3))` will give YELLOW PPT. of iodoform whereas `C_(6)H_(5)CH_(2)CHO` will not react.
