1.

Distinguish between uniform and non-uniform magnetic fields. Give examples?

Answer»

SOLUTION :Uniform MAGNETIC field: If the strength of the magnetic induction field is same in magnitude and direction at all points in it, it is said to be uniform.
1) Magnetic field between two strong electro magnetic POLE pieces.
2) Horizontal component of earth.s magnetic field in a GIVEN place.
Non-uniform magnetic field:
If the strength of the magnetic induction field at all points in it differ in magnitude and direction it is said to be non-uniform.
eg. : Magnetic field DUE to a bar magnet.
