They have high tensile strength All the elements except Zn, Cd, Hg have high melting points and have low VOLATILITY. Boiling points are also high. They produce sound on striking and hence are sonorous. They have high thermal and electrical conductivity and have metallic lustre. At normal TEMPERATURES, all the elements except Zn, Cd, Hg and Mn have one or more typical metallic structures. |
