Answer» SOLUTION :• In the identification of `Al^(3+)` ion in `Al(OH)_(3)`is obtained as blue lake. Due to adsorption of blue litmus solution added to the aluminium ion solution. • A red COLOURATION is seen due to the acidic NATURE of the solution. Ammonium hydroxide is added to it until the blue COLOUR develops. During this addition, `Al(OH)_(3)`precipitate is formed with blue colour due to the adsorption of litmus compound. |
