Solution :(i) All halogens react with hydrogen to form volatile covalent hydrides of formula HX.
(ii) These hydrides are called hydracids.
(III) Hydracidsare the reducing agents.
(iv) Except F, all hydrogen HALIDES are gases. HF is a liquid because of INTERMOLECULAR hydrogen bonding.
