Answer» TheSandmeyer reactionis a chemical reactionused to synthesize aryl halides from aryl diazonium salts. It is an example of a radical-nucleophilic aromatic substitution. The Gattermann reaction, is a chemical reaction in which aromatic compounds are formylated by a mixture of hydrogen cyanide and hydrogen chloride in the presence of a Lewis acid catalyst such as AlCl₃.
