1.	Explain the following with suitable examples : 12-16 and 13-15 group compounds.
Answer» Solution :When SOLID state materials are produced by the combination of group-12 and group-16 elements, the compounds THUS obtained are called group 12-16 compounds. Ex.: ZNS, Cds etc. The group 13-15 compounds are obtained by combination of elements of group-13 and group-15. Ex. : InP, GaAs, INSB etc.
