Answer» Solution : Sea water is SEPARATED from FRESH water by cellulose acetate semipermeable membrane. When pressure more than OSMOTIC pressure is applied on sea water side pure water squeezed out of the sea water through the membrane due to REVERSE OSMOSIS.
