Answer» Atomicity is the total number of atoms present in one molecule of an element, compound or a substance. For example, in O2, there are 2 atoms of oxygen. Atomic number is the number of protons or electrons normally found in an atom of a given chemical element. The higher the atomic number, the heavier the atom is. In a neutral atom, the number of protons and electrons is the same. Isotopes are atoms that have the same number of protons and electrons but different numbers of neutrons and therefore have different physical properties. |
