1.

Express the following rational number with positive denominator -18/-21

Answer»

\frac{ - 18}{ - 21}

now by using cancellation method we cancel -ve sign and then

on both NUMERATOR and denominator divide by 3

so

\frac{18}{21}  \\  =  \\  \frac{18 \div 3}{21 \div 3} \\  =  \\  \frac{6}{<klux>7</klux>}

THEREFORE we have a positive denominator i.e 7

and hence it's in positive form
