We know that the LCM of 2,4,6,8,10 = 120

Now, if 120 divides that number this means that the number is also divisible by 2,4,6,8,10

so, greatest 5 digit number = 99999

Lets check that 120 divides 99999

We can clearly saw that 120 don't divides 99999 completely..it LEAVE a remainder of 39

This means that 39 is extra in 99999 to become the multilple of 120

therefore ,

lets subtract 39 from 99999 to remove the extra 39

99999 - 39 = 99960

Now, 99960 is divisible by 120

Therefore, the greatest 5 number which is divisible by 120 =99960
