For the remaining ONE; Again by Linear pair of angles, ∠DEA + ∠DEG = 180° → ∠DEA + 60° = 180° → ∠DEA = 180° - 60° → ∠DEA = 120° Now, since we obtained all interior angles of the pentagon, their sum must be equal to 540° ∠EAB + ∠ABC + ∠BCD + ∠CDE + ∠DEA = 540° → 130° + x + 40° + x + 120° = 540° → 2x + 290° = 540° → 2x = 540° - 290° → 2x = 250° → x = 250° ÷ 2 → x = 125° ∴ The value of x is 125° |
