Find the value ofcot (13π/4)

Answer»

To find: Value of cot\(\frac{13\pi}{4}\)

We have,

cot\(\frac{13\pi}{4}\)

Putting π = 180°

= cot\(\frac{(13\times180^\circ)}{4}\)

= cot (13 × 45°)

= cot (585°)

= cot [90° x 6 + 45°]

= cot 45°

[Clearly, 585° is in IIIrd Quadrant and the multiple of 90° is even]

= 1 [\(\because\) cot 45° = 1]
