Find the values of the following trigonometric ratios:sin(\(-\cfrac{11\pi}6\))

Answer»

Given sin \((\cfrac{-11\pi}6)\)

⇒  sin \(\cfrac{-11\pi}6\) = sin -330°

⇒ -sin 330° = -sin (90° × 3 + 60°)

330° lies in the fourth quadrant in which the sine function is negative.

∴ sin (-330)° = -sin (90° × 3 + 60°)

= - (-cos 60°)

= - (-1/2)

= 1/2
