Answer» Government set up a High Level Empowered Committee headed by Cabinet Secretary Pradeep Kumar Sinha to address the issues of Stressed Thermal Power Projects. This committee would also involve representatives from the Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Coal and banks involved in this sector. It would work on : maximizing the efficiency of investment, changes in the fuel allocation policy, regulatory framework, facilitation of sale of power, timely payments/Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code (IBC), Asset Restructuring Company (ARC) Regulations.
