How can the neutral body be charged electrically ?

Answer»

Solution :When we TOUCH a pith ball with an electrified plastic rod, some of the negative charges on the rod are transferred to the pith ball and it ALSO GETS charged. Thus the pith ball is charged by contact.
Two separated identical metal spheres, ONE with charge Q and ANOTHER uncharged, when brought in contact and then separated, both will have Q same charge `Q/2`. Hence, it is charging of second sphere.
