How do we hear sound? Explain |
Answer»
the human ear is known to be made up of 3 parts 1-the outer ear 2-the middle ear and the 3-the inner ear.the outer ear is also called as the pinna. it collects the sound vibrations from the air. the collected sound vibrations pass through the auditory canal.at the end of the auditory canal, there is a thin membrane called the ear drum or tympanic membrane.when the sound vibrations reach the ear drum the ear drum startsvibrating the vibrations are amplified several times by three bones 1-hammer 2-anvil 3-stirrup in the middle ear.the middle ear transfers these amplified vibrations to the inner ear . here these vibrations are converted into electrical signals.these signals are sent to the brain via auditory nerves it is the brain that finally interprets them as a sound

thanks
| |
