| Answer» Solution :When a p-n junction is reverse BIASED, the d.c.voltage aids the ficititous battery, developed ACROSS the junction and thus the POTENTIAL drop across the junction increases and as a RESULT, the diffusion of holes and electrons across the junction decreases and the p-n junction offeres high resistance . So the width of depletion layer increases. | |
