How many north poles and south poles would there be in a magnet if you break a it into 20 pieces? Explain. |

Answer» ong>When a magnet is broken into 20 pieces, we will have 20 NORTH poles and 20 SOUTH poles. When a magnet is broken, each INDIVIDUAL piece will behave like magnet and will have its north pole and south pole. Therefore when we break a magnet into 20 pieces, we will GET 20 MAGNETS each having its own north and south pole.
