| Answer» <p>Black Beauty is a dynamic and round character. He is dynamic because his opinion of people changed throughout the novel. In the beginning, he believes that all owners are kind and that they would never hurt him, but in the middle,he realizes that there are cruel people in the world. He has to experience cruelty and he does not like it. In the end, he finally reunites with his first owners who are nice to him and care for him very well. Black Beauty is a round character because he is well described and he does many different things with each of his owners. Black Beauty is a very kind character because no matter how much cruelty he deals with, he still learns to love people and he would never hurt them like his owners did to him. He is also very wise and knows better than to try to hurt one of his owners. For example, Black Beauty says, "I was much excited by what had happened, and if I had ever been used to kick or rear, I am sure I should have done it then" (Sewell 116). Black Beauty had never went to kick or rear before for being mad and he knew better than to start. Even though he was very mad at his owner, he would never kick them. Black Beauty is a very kind and wise horse because he knows better than to get his owners mad.</p> | |
