1.

(i) 3x +4y = 10 and 2x — 2y=2 solve lt by elemination method

Answer»

Answer:

1st equation ----3x+4y-10=0

2nd equation ----2x-2y-2= 0

Firstly make any of the co-efficients

equal MULTIPLYING with some constant

we will make variable of 2 nd equation by multiplying with -2

-2(2x-2y-2)=0

-4x+4y-4= 0

now variable of y are equal now. start ELIMINATING second equation from FIRST.

3x+4y-10=0

-4x+4y+4=0. we will substract

7x+0-14=0 this is final equation

this equation can be written as 7x=14

x BECOMES 14/7 =2

so the value of x is 2
