Solution :(ii) For ACCELERATING a charged particle the OSCILLATOR frequency should be same as the cyclotron frequency, which depends upon the charge as well as mass of charged particle `(v = (Bq)/(2 PI m))` As MASSES of a deuteron and a proton particles are different, they cannot be accelerated with the same ocillator frequency.
